Bodegas HABLA obtains the Sustainable Wineries for Climate Protection (SWfCP) certification as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility

Bodegas HABLA has reached a new milestone on its path towards responsible excellence: The Sustainable Wineries for Climate Protection (SWfCP) certification.This recognition not only validates our commitment to enironment but also strengthens our determination to actively contribute to a fairer, more sustainable and enduring development model.

The SWfCP seal, promoted by the SpanishWine Federation, , is currently the most demanding environmental sustainability benchmark in the wine industry. This certification comprehensively evaluates energy efficiency, emissions reduction, responsible water and waste management, as well as the social, economic, and ethical values of each winery. Its purpose is to drive a wine production model that is more respectful of the environment and aligned with the challenges of climate change.

HABLA: A sustainability model built step by step

The journey towards yhis recognition is the result of a firm and coherent environmental strategy,developed over time by a committed and persevering team. HABLA already held the ISO 14001 certification, which has enabled the natural and efficient integration of advanced environmental management policies, subject to regular audits and always oriented towards continuous improvement.

In addition, we have implemented a system for the precise calculation of our carbon footprint,along with specific action plans to reduce CO₂ emissions, energy consumption, water use, and waste generation. In this way, all strategic decisions are grounded in objective data and a deep understanding of their environmental impact..

An organic vineyard in harmony with nature

Our organic vineyard spans 200 hectares of living landscape in Trujillo (Extremadura), where biodiversity and soil care are essential allies in the quality of our wines. Each vine, each cluster, each harvest is cultivated under ecological principles that support the balance of the ecosystem and ensure an authentic product that faithfully reflects a demanding, slate-rich terroir.

The winery’s facilities are specially designed to operate in harmony with the environment. From architecture fully integrated into the landscape to a gravity-flow production processthat ensures efficient use of resources and clean technologies, HABLA is the tangible expression of a philosophy rooted in respect: for the product, the environment, and the people.
